The Mario Formenton Trophy, dedicated to the Mondadori chairman and designed for all those who hold Sardinia  and sailing dear to their hearts, celebrates its 20th edition this year.

A festival of sailing at the height of the summer to be enjoyed with friends and family, the regatta is dedicated to cruisers but also open to the more competitive sailors wishing to spend a day racing a course of approximately 21 miles through the island of the La Maddalena archipelago.

Entry is open to cruiser, race-cruiser. J24 and lateen sail craft. The regatta is organized by Sporting Club Sardinia of Porto Pollo, the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and the Yacht Club Punta Sardegna and is based in Porto Rafael, Punta Sardegna.
